シャカタク (Shakatak) は、イギリス出身のフュージョンバンドである。
アメリカのジャズを起源とするフュージョンとは異なり、アドリブ偏重ではなくメロディと編曲を重視した親しみやすいサウンドが特徴で、1980年代においてレベル42と人気を分かち合い、ブリティッシュ・ジャズ・ファンク（英語版）・シーンを盛り上げた。
このNightbirdsという曲は日本でも大ヒットして、今でも様々なところで耳にして懐かしいです。
シンプルな曲ですが、耳に残るメロディーが心地よいですね。
